With more than three decades of experience in oculo-plastics and ophthalmology, Dr. Levine performs the following surgeries (partial list):

Oculo-plastics: 
Corrective procedures for facial paralysis (based on experience caring for more than 5000 patients):

• To restore closure and blinking to the upper lid: 
• Upper eyelid re-animation with the enhanced palpebral spring 
• To put the lower lid back where it belongs:
  • Lower lid repositioning with simultaneous minimally-invasive procedures such as
  • Tightening the tendon at each end of the lid (medial and lateral canthoplasties) 
  • Plastic stents placed to support the central lid (Medpore implants) 
  • Pulling up or anchoring the cheek so it does not drag the lower lid down (malar or transconjunctival cheek suspension) 
• To raise the brow to its normal position: 
  • Brow elevation
• Cosmetic eyelid procedures: 
  • To remove excess skin and fat (upper and lower lid blepharoplasties) 
  • To tighten lid skin and remove superficial wrinkles (CO2 laser lid resurfacing)
• Tumor surgery: 
  • Removal of benign and malignant lid tumors with lid reconstruction 
  • Removal of tumors involving the lacrimal gland, anterior orbit, etc.
• Correction of lid position:
  • Surgery for upper lid droop (ptosis) or lid retraction (overly-open lids) 
  • Surgery for lid inversion or eversion (entropion and ectropion)
• Surgery for excessive tearing (lacrimal drainage system procedures)
• Botox treatment for blepharospasm

Ophthalmology:

• Small incision cataract surgery (phakoemulsification) with foldable lenses
• Glaucoma surgery, including laser surgery 
• Strabismus surgery (eye muscle surgery)
